As part of VisitErie National Travel Tourism Week, we invite you to join Ryan Hoover, Director of Events & Promotions, for a guided tour of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation footprint.

Tour Schedule - Walking portion will last approximately 1-hour (order is subject to change):

  • 9:15 AM - 9:30 AM - Arrive at Flagship City Food Hall - IPPA Pizza.

  • 9:30 AM - 9:50 AM - Hear from Drew Whiting, CEO of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation

  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Walking Tour

    • Flagship City Food Hall

    • Country Fair Flagship Store

    • Dave’s Diner

    • Parking ramp

    • Flagship City Commons construction site

    • General Flagship City District between 4th and 5th street

  • 11:00 AM - Back to Flagship City Food Hall

The tour will conclude at Flagship City Food Hall with IPPA Pizza around 11:00 AM. Feel free to stick around and chat with Ryan to ask any additional questions.

Pre-tour coffee will be provided by Jo’s Brooklyn Bagel. Post-tour refreshments, provided by IPPA Pizza, will include a slice of pizza and a soda.

If a visit to the Flagship City Commons construction site can be accommodated, you will be required to wear a provided hard hat. Please come prepared and wear comfortable walking shoes that you do not mind getting a little dirty.

The tour will take place rain or shine. Please note that climbing stairs may be involved. If you require wheelchair assistance, please notify us in advance so we can accommodate you.

PARKING: Metered street parking is often available along North Park Row, State Street between North Park Row, South Park Row, and State Street between 4th & 5th Street.
